Reflexology
Sandra Schmid
Reflexology is a practice that dates back thousands of years. In reflexology we see the foot as a map, with pressure points corresponding to different organs. Congestion or tension in any part of the foot mirrors congestion or tension within the body.
I previously worked in my native Germany as a Physiotherapist and Reflexologist. In my practice I blends a knowledge of conventional science-based body work with the ancient teachings of reflexology therapy and the results speak for themselves. My intuitive approach, background and experience allow me to look at a person from a holistic stand point and address the various body systems that connect our physical body to our emotional body.
Reflexology is a very gentle therapy, it helps release tension, congestion and blockages, restoring the free flow of energy and allowing the body to heal itself at its own pace, often counteracting a lifetime of accumulated trauma.
The following are some of the many conditions that can be targeted through Reflexology:
Back pain
Hip pain
Stress
Chronic fatigue
Sleep disorders
Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Headaches and migraines
Allergies
Menstrual tension
Treatments last for 50-60 minutes and consist of gentle or firm pressure applied to the points of the feet where imbalances can be found.
